Last updated: April 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to WaveNotch. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our website and macOS application.

2. Data Collection

WaveNotch is designed to be privacy-first. The macOS application runs entirely locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal music data, listening history, or any other personally identifiable information.

When you visit our website, we may collect basic, anonymized analytics data (such as page views and browser type) to help us improve our website experience.

3. Google Calendar Integration

WaveNotch includes a Google Calendar plugin that allows you to view your upcoming events directly in the notch.

If you choose to enable this plugin, we use the google.calendar.readonly scope to access your Google Calendar data. This access is used solely to fetch and display your calendar events within the application.

Your calendar data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers or shared with any third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The application may interact with local APIs provided by Spotify or Apple Music to fetch currently playing information and control playback. This interaction happens entirely locally on your machine.

Our website may use third-party analytics services which may set cookies or collect anonymized usage data.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
